Releases

Each box release has a name like truchsess-iso-20261008-f6fb33a: the date, then a short code. Your box shows its release under Administration, General, System, Running release. To install a newer one, see Updates.

Only changes people can see or use are listed here.

Published 8 October 2026. The current release.

  • New: the administrator manages people under Administration, General, People and access: Reset password (a one-time password, the person is signed out), Disable and Enable, Remove a disabled person (type the e-mail address to confirm; the history keeps the name), Change name or e-mail. A State column shows Active, Must change password, Disabled or Removed. See Users.
  • New: the tab Your account (also from your name in the top bar). Everyone can change their own password there, in the office. See Your account.
  • New: a forgotten administrator password is reset on the box itself. See Administrator password.
  • New: when the store still holds an unfinished install from this box, the store card offers Install, which takes it over. After Remove of a store install, the row says whether the store still holds it. See Store.
  • New: when a cancelled subscription ends, its workers stop within a day and keep their files; Subscribe again brings the same workers back. Nothing is deleted. See Store.
  • Changed: an install row that is not working shows “Not running”, “Stopped”, “Removed” or “Uninstalled” instead of “Ready”.
  • Fixed: Download of a backup or a top-up file works in Chrome on the office address. The progress shows under the link. If the connection breaks, nothing is saved; press Download again.
  • Fixed: a refused upload (for example a wrong setup code) shows the box’s reason in words instead of a connection error.

Published 8 October 2026.

  • Fixed: an install no longer fails with “duplicate permission” when an install question is answered with a product, website or repository the owner policy already allows. A row that failed this way installs with Retry after the update.

Published 8 October 2026.

  • New: hand-offs between workers. A worker the administrator allowed to “hand work to” another installed worker can give it part of a task while it works and use the answer in its own reply. The other worker uses its own permissions only. The run card lists the handed-over tasks with links, their state and cost, and the total cost. See Hand-offs between workers.
  • New: “Hands work to other packages” can be raised to “Asks you first” or “Always asks, with a reason”. The hand-off then waits for the administrator’s approval. See Approvals and checks.

Published 8 October 2026.

  • New: five autonomy levels for every kind of action a worker does: Runs on its own, Tells you after, Waits for your check, Asks you first, and Always asks, with a reason. Each kind of action has a default; the administrator can raise it per package under Administration, Packages, panel Autonomy levels. See Autonomy levels.
  • New: checks. A run at “Waits for your check” finishes, but its result is held until the administrator presses Accept, or Send back with a note for one rework turn. Members see “Waiting for the owner’s check”. See Approvals and checks.
  • New: notices. Writes to knowledge and the workboard, and comments, issues and pushes on GitHub, are listed on the tab Approvals, panel Tells you after.
  • Changed: “Use credentials” and “Deploy” always ask, with a reason, and can no longer have a standing approval. Older standing approvals for them show “not used: this action always asks”.

Published 8 October 2026.

  • New: Administration, sub-tab Knowledge. The administrator imports a product’s documents (one .zip, or .md and .txt files), reviews every document first, and imports the chosen ones. Workers on the product read them during a task. Earlier versions of changed documents stay readable. See Products and knowledge.

Published 8 October 2026.

  • New: encrypted backups. The administrator creates a recovery key; the box then makes a backup every night and keeps the newest 7. Backups can be downloaded and restored, on the same box or on a new box from its first screen. See Backup and restore.

Published 8 October 2026.

  • New: workers can search, read and write company knowledge and read and change workboard cards during a task, when they have the permission. Each call is listed in the run’s audit trail. Every knowledge write keeps the earlier version. See Knowledge and Workboard.

Published 8 October 2026. The first release listed in this manual. It contains, among others:

  • The data rule: which AI providers may see your data, and where it may be processed. See AI providers and lanes.
  • The Swiss-only option with PHOENIQS (Switzerland). See The Swiss-only option.
  • Model lanes as lists of the provider’s models, with Other model…. Automatic models are refused.
  • Save policy shows its result next to the button.
  • Remote access with an e-mail code. See Remote access.
  • Workers on GitHub push only their own branches and open pull requests; they never merge. Workers can read test results, review pull requests and work on issues when they have the permission.
  • Updates show the download progress and can be cancelled before the switch. Update now always checks for the newest release first.
  • One package can be installed several times under different names, with a website as an install question.
