Step 7: Store enrolment
The store is the publisher’s catalog of workers for your box. You enrol the box once. Then you can subscribe to functions and install their workers.
Who can do this
Section titled “Who can do this”The administrator, in the office on https://myai.local/.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”You need two things from the publisher:
- the store address;
- a one-time enrolment code. It looks like
TRS-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
How buying works is explained in the store’s own documentation: How buying works.
- Open Administration, sub-tab Packages.
- The first panel is Store. It says “This appliance is not enrolled with a store yet.”
- Enter the Store address.
- Enter the Enrolment code.
- Optional: enter a Label for this appliance, for example your company name.
- Press Enrol.
- Wait until the steps are done and the panel says “Enrolled as …”.
- Look at the line about publisher keys. If it says “NOT trusted here yet”, register that publisher. See Trusted publishers.
- Press Refresh catalog.
What you see afterwards
Section titled “What you see afterwards”- The panel shows Enrolled as, Store, Label, Enrolled, Last contact and Appliance key id.
- After Refresh catalog, the panel lists the functions the store offers you, with their monthly price and their workers.
- The enrolment code is used once and is not kept on the box.
Your choices
Section titled “Your choices”| Choice | What it does | When to pick it | Can you undo it? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Enrol | Connects this box to the store. | Once. | No, not in the portal. |
| Private test server (advanced) | A certificate for a private test store. | Only when the publisher asks for it. | n/a |
What leaves the box: the box’s identity, which workers it asks for, and receipts for installs and uninstalls. Your tasks, files, knowledge and keys never go to the store.
Paying and cancelling: see Billing and Cancel in the store’s documentation.
